Two Shepherds

A Journey of Compassion and Change
From a young age, I knew I was destined to work with animals. My dream was to become a veterinarian, but as I delved into the field, I realized that it was more about the business side—products, medicines, and profit—than the genuine care and connection with animals that I yearned for. So, I took a different path, one that led me to a deeper understanding of what it truly means to serve and nurture the creatures we share this world with.
Two Shepherds Sanctuary was born out of this realization and my lifelong passion for animals. But the real spark that set my journey ablaze came from an unexpected encounter. When I was at a low point in my life, the universe sent me a gift—a nest of baby squirrels, abandoned and in desperate need of care. Nurturing these tiny beings back to health rekindled my passion for giving back to nature. It was as if they were sent to remind me of my purpose. Shortly after, Koda came into my life, a dog who had endured unimaginable neglect, tied to a tree for most of his young life. His journey to rehabilitation was not an easy one, but it taught me so much about patience, trust, and the profound ability of animals to forgive and love again.
These experiences were the catalyst for creating Two Shepherds. Over the past four years, I’ve been proud to serve my community through Two Shepherd's Executive Pet Care Service, helping hundreds of dogs and their guardians live in harmony. However, I realized that there is so much more that needs to be done. Shelters are overflowing, dogs are often improperly placed, and many pet guardians lack the education needed to provide the best care for their companions. This realization fueled my dream of establishing a sanctuary where animals can heal, thrive, and find their forever homes.
Two Shepherds Sanctuary is built on the principles of balance, harmony, and a deep connection with the animals and humans around us. It's about creating bonds, practicing patience, showing kindness, and offering a judgment-free space for growth and learning. Our mission is to not only rescue and rehabilitate animals but also to change the standards of pet care, educate the community, and build a resource center where people can find the right fit for their family.
Our impact has already begun to ripple through the community. We've launched programs like "You Had Me at Woof", offering half-off training to those who have adopted a dog, and we've partnered with fosters and rescues to provide heavily discounted services. We've organized pack walks, community challenges, and foster support to make a difference, but our journey is just beginning.
To truly make a lasting impact, we need to take the next step—establishing Two Shepherds Sanctuary on its own land. Our goal is to raise $1 million to purchase this space, a place where dogs and other animals can find sanctuary, healing, and love. This funding will be pivotal in providing medical care, creating comfortable living spaces, and offering educational programs to the community. Every dollar raised brings us closer to changing the lives of animals and setting a new standard in pet care.
